The brand name TIGRIL was created as a brand for special premium quality of friction products in 1949 by the company Danco-Wetzell & Co in Dortmund, Germany.

At that time the Automotive Industry was in a tremendous development and growth in Germany and all over Europe. TIGRIL brake liners were OE most prominently with MAN trucks and TIGRIL quality had approval from many well known European truck manufacturers.

Over the years of expertise in the automotive market TIGRIL has expanded from a production plant pioneer to an international trademark with a wide range of high quality products and services.
